About the Event
Royse Contemporary is excited to present "Midcentury in the Desert", a two person exhibition showcasing the photorealistic oil paintings of Cam DeCaussin and the black and white photography of Marilyn Szabo. This exhibition reflects upon the influences and prevalence of midcentury architecture here in the desert of Arizona. Presenting masterful artwork that highlights the beauty of the architecture and desert, accentuating the artist's use of imagery, engaging style, and strong voice. "We are honored to showcase the work of these talented artists, each creating phenomenal work, capturing the beauty and essence of the architecture within the landscape, truly connecting with their viewers," states Curator, Nicole Royse.
"Midcentury in the Desert" will open to the public on Thursday, February 13, 2020 with a special artist reception, coinciding with the weekly Scottsdale ArtWalk from 6:00-9:00pm. The evening will feature an opportunity to meet the featured artists and curator, along with light hors d'oeuvres and refreshments.
