"UNTITLED"
April 9 - May 24, 2026
Royse Contemporary is proud to present "UNTITLED," a solo exhibition by acclaimed artist Gennaro Garcia. This dynamic showcase features a multi-media collection of Garcia's latest works, including paintings, monosilk prints, giclées, and sculpture.
Garcia's work reflects a masterful fusion of vibrant color inspired by his childhood in Mexico with refined, world-class techniques that blend traditional and contemporary practices. As curator Nicole Royse notes, "Gennaro strives to create art in every technique, style, color, and texture—always evolving within his art."
The exhibition highlights Garcia's distinctive voice and vivid subject matter, deeply rooted in his dual identity as both Mexican and American. "Art sets me free and allows me to share my passion," Garcia explains. His work offers an authentic perspective shaped by his experience as a Latino immigrant.
Originally from San Luis, Sonora, Mexico, Garcia moved to Arizona in his early twenties, driven by a passion for artistic creation. Today, his work is featured in galleries and private collections across the United States and Mexico. He has received notable recognition, including the Masters of the Southwest Award and the Hispanic Heritage Award.
Beyond the studio, Garcia has expanded his creative influence into the culinary and design world, contributing to the visual identity of numerous restaurants. He is also co-owner of Taco Chelo, with locations in Downtown Phoenix and Tempe.
"UNTITLED " will open to the public Thursday, April 9, 2026 from 6-9pm with an opening reception. The evening will include an opportunity to meet the artist and curator. This exhibition will be on display at Royse Contemporary through May 24, 2026.
