About the Event

Royse Contemporary is thrilled to present “Emotions Revisited”, an exciting group exhibition exploring feelings, expression of emotion, and knowledge through emotion is translated into artwork and the creative process. This exhibition showcases the work of noteworthy Arizona artists including: James Angel, Charmagne Vasquez Coe, Cam DeCaussin, Cherie Buck-Hutchison, Fausto Fernandez, Peter Brian Klein, Daniel Shepherd, Marilyn Szabo, Casey Wakefield. Curator, Nicole Royse has selected an alluring group of artists that have an incredible energy, originality, and a distinctive voice. Each artist creates riveting yet enigmatic work exploring emotions, showcasing each artist’s style, engaging mediums, and unique imagery.

An excellent collection of work has been assembled from this talented group of local artists, that may appear aesthetically different but have an undeniable bond and vitality that connects their work. This exhibition offers an eclectic selection of work with artists working in painting, collage, mixed media, and photography, highlighting art that is visceral, authentic and engaging. “Emotions Revisited is a poignant exhibition that explores the power of our emotions, especially relevant in our current turbulent times, and how the artist translates that into their work”, states Owner/Curator, Nicole Royse.

Emotions will open virtually to the public on November 11, 2020 (via Royse Contemporary Facebook Page), followed by a public opening on Thursday, November 12, 2020 coinciding with the special “Canal Convergence” Scottsdale ArtWalk from 6:00-9:00pm. The evening will feature an opportunity to meet some of the featured artists and the curator.
